As December 6, 2013, Children with Diabetes is no longer a part of Johnson & Johnson. Moving forward, CWD will operate as an Ohio-based not-for-profit corporation.
We thank Johnson & Johnson for nearly six years of support during some very challenging economic times, and look forward to what’s sure to be a healthy continuing relationship.
My family’s journey with type 1 diabetes began many years ago when our daughter Marissa was diagnosed at the age of 24 months. Marissa has grown, earned her BSN/RN, married Adam and recently welcomed a healthy baby boy into her family. But her journey with type 1 diabetes continues, and thus so does the mission of Children with Diabetes; providing education and support to families living with type 1 diabetes through our web site and conferences.
On behalf of Laura Billetdeaux, myself and the many people who make CWD conferences life changing experiences, I’d like to invite all of you to join the new Children with Diabetes, to continue to make a difference in the lives of families everywhere living with type 1 diabetes.
