Crystal Jackson is a long-time CWD mom and faculty member, and is responsible for the American Diabetes Association's Safe at School Initiative. When Crystal isn't busy working for ADA she enjoys kicking back with her family in Leesburg, VA and tending to her flowers and tomato plants. This summer she has been especially busy with preparations to get daughter Devin (dx 10/11/91) off to George Mason University as a freshman and to return son Dylan to University of the Arts where he is a sophomore.
Crystal has been working hard this year to reclaim her physical (and always mental) health. Prior to this year, she ran for ADA's Team Diabetes in the 2002 Mardi Gras marathon . In order to achieve her fitness goal, she has been training hard and has run in a 5K and a couple 10K races since April. Crystal is looking forward to running and supporting her CWD teammates with son Dylan in January.
