Back to Team CWD Team CWD
Hi! I'm Laura Billetdeaux, and I started running when I was 18 years old and a freshman in college – and I realized that girls could be athletes, too! That was 1976, and I've tried to be athletic (in my own way) ever since. I will be 50 at the race in Orlando – and I will be absolutely thrilled to cross the finish line on my own two feet no matter what the actual time!

I truly enjoy running. I think it is my favorite sport because I can do it outdoors or indoors – whether on the treadmill in my basement or the country roads near my house - and my mind can just go off anywhere. My favorite time to run is 9 a.m., after 3 cups of coffee and an hour of email. I put on my shoes and I'm out the door.

I am so looking forward to running as part of this team and being a role model and friend to other Really Slow Moms Who Like To Run. I hope that many more people will join TeamCWD in future years – maybe our 50 runners can double next year?
