My name is Lisa Kelly. My son Liam, who is 13, was diagnosed with type 1 on January 25, 2008. Since then I have leaned heavily on my CWD friends to keep me sane and help me learn all about this new destination in our life. We attended the Focus on Pumping conference in Seattle and it was a transformative weekend for both Liam and me. I have always been athletic, but haven't raced in a couple of years. I enjoy the middle age competition in sprint triathlons and have never just ran for a half marathon. I am out of shape and am looking forward to the discipline and direction a race brings to the training table. So thanks for including me! I am a physical therapist and look forward to meeting everyone in Orlando to participate in this great event. Train Smart, Everyone!
