Activities (some outdoors) and discussion groups specifically for teens (ages 13+) will be included. These sessions are for teens with type 1 diabetes as well as their teen siblings and friends. Everyone is welcome! Teens should simply report to the Teen Room each day at 8:45 a.m. Teens likely will be going off-site and outdoors in the afternoons. A signed permission slip and waiver must be completed at registration in order for teens to participate.

Activities (including pool time!) and discussion groups specifically for tweens (ages 10-12) will be offered on the same schedule as the adult sessions with the same breaks for snacks and meals. These sessions are for tweens with type 1 diabetes as well as their tween siblings and friends. Tweens should simply report to the designated Tween Room each day at 8:45 a.m. Tweens likely will be going off-site on Sunday afternoon. A signed waiver must be completed at registration in order for tweens to participate.

Programming for school-age children (ages 6-9) will be fun and interactive. No "boring stuff" here! Sessions will run on the same schedule as the adults with the same breaks for snacks and meals. All school-age children are welcome. Pool time will be part of each day’s activities, so make sure your child has a swimsuit! Children should report each day to the designated Elementary Room at 8:45 a.m.

Childcare for potty-trained children ages 3-5 will be available. CDE Alanna Chambers will be the lead person for childcare. Please talk with her on Friday evening if your preschooler will be in childcare during the weekend.

Please note that all children must be with their appropriate age group on Saturday and Sunday. The elementary program is for children ages 6-9; the tween program is for children ages 10-12, and the teen program is for ages 13-18. There is no 'skipping up' or 'skipping down.' This is per our insurance guidelines. No exceptions are allowed.
