About 1,200 people from 32 states and eight countries journeyed to the Sheraton Universal in Universal City near Los Angeles, California, for Friends for Life 2004, enjoying two days of education sessions, discussions with vendors, a morning fun run, a banquet with entertainment from BROTHER, a teen dance, and a day at Universal Studios Hollywood. Parents, kids, grandparents, friends, and faculty alike all had a wonderful experience. For many families, this was a chance to renew friendships from previous conferences. The photos below offer a glimpse of the conference and will be updated with a full report next week.
More will be written and posted during the week. People who attended are encouraged to e-mail their thoughts to info@childrenwithdiabetes.com.
Thanks to all of our generous sponsors for making Friends for Life 2004 possible.
