My name is Madeleine and I have an older sister who was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when she was 11 years old. I have been to three Children with Diabetes conferences (going to my fourth in July) and every time I go I learn a bit more. The conferences are a great place to meet people who understand what you or your sibling may be going through and it is more fun than I can tell you. And if you are a sibling of someone with diabetes but you are curious you can even try out some of the diabetes supplies (Like the OmniPod). Madeleine
