Samantha is an active southern California teenager who doesn't allow her diabetes to slow her down. Diagnosed 2 1/2 years ago at age 12, she's been pumping for a year. She's a competetive ice skater, plays the bass drum and quads in the school marching band and percussion ensemble, plays handbells and sings in the church choirs, loves the snow and any day at the beach.
This quilt square was designed and made by Sam and mom (Melanie), and depicts dreams, goals, and life in Sam's shoes -- "D-Feet Diabetes."
