Nicholas is 9 years old and is in 4th grade. The Meister, as his Dad calls him, was diagnosed a week before his 3rd birthday in August 1998. He started pumping in June 2001, and now loves his CoZmo pump so much that he doesn’t want a cure as much as his parents do. He checks his blood 10-12 times a day, and is a very good eater, which makes it a tiny bit easier for his Mom and Dad to take care of him. Like most 4th graders, Nicholas enjoys video games and riding his bike, but also has a great fondness for model railroading and skiing. He lives on Long Island, NY, with his Mom, Dad, and little brother Mikey.
