Diagnosed October 13, 2005
Nathan is my sweet, loving, creative, funny, loopy, loopy 9 year old son. He loves to fish, ride his bike, draw, build things and tear things apart.
He has a little sister, Megan, who is 7, and always willing to help out managing Nate's diabetes, a big yellow dog named Max and 2 rabbits named Chopper and Brownie, His favorite thing is summer vacation. His least favorite thing is starting back to school.
Nathan was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes on October 13, 2005, when he was 7 years old. He started using his insulin pump in June of 2006. It is hard to call it his best friend, but it has made his life so much easier. One of his buddies in school is Devin, who was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes 2 weeks before Nathan. They both like to spend their free time at school teasing Mrs. Daisley, their school nurse.
Obviously we are very proud of Nathan, both of our children are our heroes. The quilt square was made by Nate's "Nanu" Lillie Waltenbaugh.
Nathan's grandma Lillie, who he called NaNu, is a talented quilter who designed and created his quilt.
