Nathan is a 13-year-old home schooler. He will start his freshman year (still at home) and turn 14 in September 2007. His brother, Bryan, is 15 and is his best friend.

Nathan enjoys competitive archery with Chicagoland JOAD (Junior Olympic Archery Development), golfing with the family, playing Ultimate Frisbee and beach volleyball. He volunteers at a local living history farm and can be found there in 1890s costume doing various chores and farm activities.

His current long-range plans are to become a biomedical researcher and to find a cure for type 1 diabetes.
