Alex is a fifth grader who loves to hang out at the pool and the beach with her friends. She is an avid swimmer and likes to play field hockey too. She likes school but isn't a fan of math. Alex was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes about a year ago. She has been pumping for a few months. Alex lives in southern New Jersey with me mom, dad, and sister. Many thanks to our diabetes team at AI Dupont Hospital and our family friend Vlada Jackson for making Alex's quilt a reality.
