Lauren Ann Dotson
Diagnosed August 1, 2001
Lauren Ann Dotson was born on July 4th, 1997, the first grandchild in the family. She is truly our "little firecracker!" Her dad and his twin brother also have Juvenile Diabetes (Type 1) since they were 10 years old. She was diagnosed one month after her fourth birthday. Her comments were "I'm just like my Dad." She has handled her condition very bravely and checks her own blood sugar most of the time. She is our "Sunshine" and we all lover her so very much.
Lauren helped her grandmother "Mama Deb" to make her quilt square. She was so excited! She and her family plan to visit Orlando when the quilt squares are displayed this summer.
Our daily prayers are for a cure for this disease. Lauren Ann prays for a cure for all the little children who have diabetes and she asks God not to let her little cousin Christian Nicole have diabetes. After you read this, please pray for a cure and go one step further and help fund research!
