Matthew, age 3, is the youngest of four children in his family. He was diagnosed in August 2002 at the age of 27 months. Matthew has adjusted to life with juvenile diabetes, rarely complaining about finger pricks or shots. Matthew gains support from his parents and inspiration from his three sisters: Melissa (juvenile diabetes for 8 years), Sarah, and Kayla. Matthew lives life to the fullest and is a very active little boy.
