Diagnosed July 31, 2000
Blake Bass is six years old and lives in Iowa with his mom Cindy, dad Terry, and big brother Craig. He has two dogs, Lady and Kord, and two cats, Spooky and Cupcake. Blake will be in first grade in the fall of 2002. He likes to swim and play on his scooter.
Blake was diagnosed on July 31, 2000 at the age of four. He got an Animas pump in August 2001. Blake has done the Walk for a Cure twice and is in the video, Faces of Diabetes. He is the little blonde boy with a rainbow behind him.
Blake, along with his mom and Grandma Jan Eckhart, designed the quilt. Grandma Marcine Coburn did the picture in the middle, Grandma Penny Bass sewed the quilt. Mom Cindy did the cross stitching. Special help from Linda Harms and Wonda Hoffmen.
