Eli is 5 1/2 years old. He was diagnosed on January 6, 2000. He has been pumping since June of 2001 -- almost exactly a year. His HbA1c has dropped about 2 points. It hasn't been easy, but we do love the freedom that pumping gives us.

Eli loves tractors, animals, and especially riding his bike. He helps his Dad on the farm whenever he can, and he makes us all laugh with his zest for life. His quilt squares show different aspects of his lift - night and day, work and play - all connected by the ever present, ever important insulin infusion tube.
