Liza is 13 and entering the eighth grade. She was diagnosed exactly one year and one day after her younger brother Myles, age 10. She also has an older brother Mike, 19.

Liza dances, acts, and sings. She also loves to play with the family pets: Willy, a Golden Retriever; Ella, a Shih-Tzu; and Fluffy, a cat. Liza's favorite pastime is reading. She looks forward to attending Clara Barton Camp for two weeks every summer.
