| Maggie Myers is 24 years old and was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 9. She did a volunteer internship with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation as a college student and then was offered a job with the organization upon graduation. She is a special events coordinator with the East Tennessee Chapter and works diligently toward the day a cure is found. The quilt squares are made from Walk to Cure Diabetes Team T-shirts. | ||
