Liam was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes when he was 2 1/2 years old and in ketoacidosis. While the doctor was unsure if he would survive, Liam recovered and has become a very happy and active little boy. He loves playing with friends, riding his bike, and swimming. Liam is quickly learning all about carbohydrates, insulin, exercise and blood glucose levels. He has a very positive attitude but is eagerly awaiting the day when he can take his last needle and be cured!
