This quilt was designed by a handful of kids who belong to the Grand Rapids, Michigan Support and "ISH" Group. The "ISH" Group is a support group started a few years ago that consists of families with children with diabetes. We get together once a month and do a fun activity, such as the movies, baseball games, ice skating, dinner, sledding, etc. The "ISH" stands for kids between the ages of 5ish and 12ish, but we allow any family with a diabetic child to participate.
The quilt was put together by Carol Kopulos, the grandmother of Taylor Howard, age 11, diagnosed at age 4.
