Diagnosed March 17, 1998
Zachary lives in Arizona with his mom (Gina), his sister (Kayla), and the family cat (Angel). Zachary's quilt square has all of the things he likes to do. He likes to rollerblade, skateboard, and play soccer. He also likes to draw penguins. Aunt Diana put one of his drawings on the quilt. Kayla did a drawing, sending her love to everyone with type 1 diabetes.
Zachary is in a support group with other children with type 1 diabetes. They all meet once a month in a different school in their district. Zachary doesn't like having diabetes and say, "I hope they find a cure for diabetes soon. No more shots and pricks!"
This quilt was made with love by Zachary's great-aunt Diana Haseman.
