Lawren Dame is 7 years old and was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes on October 23, 1998 at the age of 4. She started pumping with the Animas pump in January 2001. The picture she drew in the center of her quilt is of herself with her pumper buddies, Ellen and Johnny.
