Marissa Jo (MJ) was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes during her senior year in high school! With the support of her family and friends, she took responsibility of her health and refused to let it control her life. We are very proud of her efforts and determination. MJ is very competitive and enjoys all kinds of sports. This fall, she will be attending college on a basketball scholarship. Her future plans including majoring in physical education and, some day, coaching a team of her own.
The quilt was made by her mom, Andrea.
