Sierra Rose Bussell is six years old. She was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes on August 11, 2000. She is the daughter of Julie and Tyler Bussell. She lives in California on a three acre ranch with her mom, Nana, and Papa. Sierra is a loving, caring, and bright child. She is going to be starting First Grade in the fall of 2002. She loves school, her horses, and her dog Daisy, but she doesn't like her diabetes. That is why we all need to fight for the cure. Her mom raised over $10,000 for the JDRF Walk-a-Thon in October 2001. We all need to do whatever we can to find a cure.
The quilt square was a group effort for ides, but the sewing was thanks to a wonderful person named Kay Sweeny. She is a pediatric nurse at Standford Medical Center. Kay, You're The Best!
