Camp De Los Niņos - 2008 Since 1974, the Diabetes Society has sponsored camping programs in California for children with diabetes. Camp De Los Niņos is located in the beautiful redwood forest of the Santa Cruz Mountains where youth from all over California gather for a week of fun, educational activities and programs. Camp De Los Niņos provides an opportunity for children and young adults with diabetes to go to camp, and meet others in their age group with diabetes while having a positive experience learning how to manage diabetes. Our goal is to help campers develop more confidence in their ability to effectively control their diabetes while enjoying traditional camping experiences like the ancient sport of archery, rock climbing, and arts and crafts.
