My name is Amy Knight. My sister Rachel has diabetes, so I'm affected indirectly by diabetes everyday. I really wanted to make a quilt square too. I made one for someone who can't. It is made in memory of Mary Bennett, a friend of my grandma. Mary had type 1 diabetes and died from complications of the disease. She liked to take care of her house and garden so she is shown as a gardening angel.
