Diagnosed April 30, 2002
Luk was diagnosed on April 30, 2002. He is a very active 13-year-old boy who loves to play basketball for the 7th and 8th grade Carlisle Co. Comets. He also enjoys golfing, baseball, hunting and fishing. Luk refuses to let diabetes take charge of his life. Luk has been blessed with the support of his family and friends. "Everyone has been so good about treating me the same as before I was diagnosed," Luk says. "I really appreciate my family, friends, coaches, teachers and Mrs. Jill, my school nurse. They have supported me, encouraged me, and helped me realize I can do anything." Dr. Najjar and the diabetes team from Vanderbilt Children?s Hospital have been great in helping Luk with his diabetes management.
Join us in praying for a cure for Luk, as well as others with diabetes.
Martha Moore, Luk's Granny, made this quilt. Thanks Granny!
