| Teen Sessions |
| Activities and discussion groups specifically for teens (ages 13+) will be offered on the same schedule as the adult sessions with the same breaks for snacks and meals. These sessions are for teens with type 1 diabetes as well as their teen siblings and friends. Everyone is welcome! Teens should simply report to the Teen Room each day at 9:00 a.m. Faculty includes Natalie Bellini, Rick Philbin, and Chris Tull. Teens will be going off-site and outdoors in the afternoons. A signed permission slip and waiver must be completed at registration in order for teens to participate. |
|
| Tweener Sessions |
| Activities and discussion groups specifically for tweeners (ages 10-12) will be offered on the same schedule as the adult sessions with the same breaks for snacks and meals. These sessions are for tweeners with type 1 diabetes as well as their tweener siblings and friends. Tweeners should simply report to the designated Tweener Room each day at 9:00 a.m. Faculty includes Melissa Ringley and Kim Kelly. Tweeners may be going off-site (not far) or outdoors in the afternoons. A signed permission slip and waiver must be completed at registration in order for tweeners to participate. |
|
| School-Age Children's Sessions |
| Programming for school-age children (approximately ages 6-9) will be fun and interactive. No "boring stuff" here! Sessions will run on the same schedule as the adults with the same breaks for snacks and meals. All school-age children are welcome. If younger children wish to participate, they need to have a parent or sitter with them. Children should report each day to the School-Age room. Faculty will include Mike Schurig, Lauren Lanning, and assorted other adult friends!
|
If a parent would like to volunteer to assist with the school-age children's activities, we would love the help!
Please contact Laura Billetdeaux to ask about volunteering: phone 734-428-8265 or email Laura.Billetdeaux@childrenwithdiabetes.com
