For Children With Diabetes
At The Camp at Panhandle Lake

Put some excitement into your summer at Panhandle Lake Camp, where having diabetes is the rule and not the exception. Panhandle Lake, close to the town of Skelton, will be your home for the best fun you will have all summer while you live with fellow campers who also have diabetes.

Wake up each morning to a hearty, healthy breakfast and ready for adventure. Schedule your day for boating, swimming, hiking, archery, crafts, and group games. You can sleep under the stars, enjoy a cookout, hear late-night stories, and wake up to see the sunrise. Fun evenings around the campfire, cabin skits, singing, and awards will complete your week.

Your counselors have been carefully selected for their experience of living with diabetes. The volunteer staff of doctors, nurses, pharmacists and dietitians specialize in diabetes care and education and are on duty 24 hours a day. They will lead you in new discoveries and help you grwo as you learn how to live a healthy life with diabetes.
