Camp Lo-Be-Gone
Camp Lo-Be-Gone, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is a day camp for children ages 5 - 11 with diabetes and their siblings. We emphasize diabetes education and nutrition, but we also think it is important for campers to have a fun outdoor experience. Our camp offers arts and crafts, nature, archery, canoeing, and swimming.
All of our counselors and volunteers go through a staff training given by our Medical Director. We have two registered nurses who are trained in diabetes care. Each group has 6 to 15 children and 2 to 4 adult counselors, along with 2 to 4 youth counselors.
