Camp Adam Fisher
For Kids with Diabetes and their Siblings
Ages 6-17 July 29th-August 4th, 2007Camp Facts
- Tuition for Camp Adam Fisher is $595. Additional funds to support the camp are raised through the fund raising efforts of our volunteers.
- Camp Adam Fisher takes place at The Cooper Leadership Center in Summerton, South Carolina on Lake Marion.
- For children who have diabetes and their sisters, brothers and friends ages 6-17.
- Organized to provide an environment for children with diabetes where they can learn about diabetes and diabetes care and interact with others who have diabetes.
- Camp Adam Fisher is fully accredited by the American Camping Association and the American Diabetes Association.
- Adventures in Camping for campers continues this year,providing new challenges and an increased excitement to the camping experience.
- Over 30 volunteer physicians, nurses, pharmacists and dietitians staff the camp on a volunteer basis.
Activities
- For Ages 6-17:
Baseball, nature, slide show, basketball, volleyball, kickball, football, carnival, olympics, crafts, teams courses, horseback riding, rifles, game room, blobbing, paddleboats, archery, swimming, canoeing, hiking, dancing, cookouts, talent show, games, kayaking, fireworks
- Additional Activities for Ages 13-15:
1/2 day sailing, 1/2 day tubing, overnight camping, low ropes course, high ropes course
- Additional Activities for Ages 16-17:
All day canoe trip, 1/2 day sailing, 1/2 day tubing, overnight island camping, high ropes course, climbing wall
