Nortern Illinois Day Camps - 2009 Dates

Camp Discovery Ages 4 – 9 June 29 – July 3, 2009 Held at Health Track, Glen Ellyn, IL   Camp Confidence Ages 4 - 9 June 22 – 26, 2009 Held at Des Plaines Methodist Camp Grounds, Des Plaines, IL   Camp Can-Do Ages 4 - 9 August 10 – 14, 2009 Held at Palos Park Recreation Center, Palos Park, IL For Camper or Volunteer Applications, please call 312-346-1805 OR 1-888-DIABETES, ext. 6581 or email Jackie: jwisz@diabetes.org

Program Arts and crafts Outdoor fun Diabetes Education Nature appreciation Water Fun Making New Friends Yearly Themed Activities Special Guest Visitors Camp Fee ADA Members: $250 per child Non-Members: $350 per child Included in Camp Fee Medical supervision ADA Camp T-Shirt Supervised Program Activities Diabetes Camp Supplies Snacks, Milk, and Water Art and Crafts Supplies Lunch Children will be asked to bring a sack lunch each day. Snacks and drinks will be provided by the camp. Of Special Interest Since everyone can be deeply affected by the presence of diabetes in the family, a brother or sister is encouraged to attend. However, children may attend on their own. The fee is the same for all children, diabetic and non-diabetic, attending camp. Children are grouped according to age. All day camps are Monday-Thursday 9:00 am to 3:00 pm and Friday 9:00 am - 11:30 am. Morning sessions with leaders in the field of diabetes will be held as "Sharing Time" for parents.
