Camp EDI - The Gloria Hirsch Camp for Children with Diabetes
The American Diabetes Association Camp EDI name is an acronym formed from the three cornerstones of a healthy, active lifestyle for children with diabetes: Exercise, Diet and Insulin. Camp EDI resident sessions are held at the Camp Mihaska in Bourbon, MO. The primary goal of the camp program is to teach children with diabetes how to enjoy a healthy, active lifestyle. By having fun with other children while learning more about diet, exercise and medication can encourage self-confidence and independence. Activities at Camp EDI include crafts, swimming, fishing, ropes course, caving, hiking and group recreation and sports. Financial assistance is available to qualifying applicants.

Full Session: August 4-11 (ages 9 - 15); $650
