Rod Lorenz, M.D. is a member of the Executive Committee of the National Diabetes Education Program, a joint initiative of the National Institutes of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Dr. Lorenz is Professor and Vice Chair of the Department of Pediatrics at the St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois. He is a former co-chair of the NDEP Executive Committee and has often served as the NDEP spokesperson with the media.
