question about the july conference in san deigo california.. what are the dates? and do you pay for the conference its self?

Has anyone else experienced a server error where the message type in space is?
You do need an rx to try a pump with saline. Interestingly, the saline is the prescription item (not the pump). Call the company you have the appt with and explain what is going on. Ask them what to do.

Leaving Thursday PM (after work)... we'll hook up the kids DVD players, sit back, and drive through the night --and arrive in the AM -- it takes 13 hrs. We are going to the east coast (Melbourne - to see aunt/uncle/beach) and then will hope back in the van and go to Orlando and check in Friday afternoon
I'm sure any of the parks will have good fireworks. I also hear that Universal's fireworks are fabulous. The parks will be very crowded, though. I don't know that I want to fight crowds for a 10 minute firework display.
I thought about taking the bus to the monorail and going just outside Magic Kingdom to watch the fireworks
We intend to see some great fireworks on the fourth too
They all have great fireworks....for those of us with an issue with pyrotechnics, it is just a matter of picking which one to go to....
Stacey - correct, they are lime green -- the purple hat matches a tshirt that Julia already has and the stitching will match her shirt for this year!

Secret tip...from another CWDer....If you go to the polynesian village and sit on the beach, you can see disney's display very well, and you don't ahvet o shell out for the park ticket

Also, the volunteer shirts are now royal blue. The t-shirt suppliers around the country were entirely sold out of the Caribbean blue. It was unbelievable. Like someone ordered 100,000 blue shirts all at once...

I pretty much ordered the tank tops right on. We had to get white ones, send them off to be dyed, and then get them back for printing. That was very expensive. I only wanted to order what we had specific numbers for - none extra. Sorry.

Re: the first-timers reception, Jeff and I will say a few words at the beginning, and then just be available for the 90 minutes to talk with people, answer questions, eat, answer more questions, eat some more...

It's like being at diabetes camp....on steroids! we eat more than anything else and more than most people...Nurses don't eat that much, and they can eat (i am a former nurse...)

My day? Starts very early. I'm out at the buffets around 7 making sure the food set up is right (it always is, but I just feel better checking). The day ends after the last kids event - about midnight. I take a week's vacation after the conference, and I sit in a chair in the sun!

The concierge can help you arrange a visit to Kennedy. You'd be wise to call now and ask about it. The resort will be very crowded, and I don't know what sort of tickets you need to tour the Space Center.

Lynne (and everyone) - You get a Guest Assistance Card for the parks. This doesn't give you carte blanche to the front of the line, but it does allow you to wait in a cooler area (perhaps with ac), and sometimes they let you go through the fast pass entrance. A staff person from Magic Kingdom will be at our hotel by registration on Weds from 4-7 p.m. giving families the GACs. Weds only.
My daughter Kristin (14) can't decide on which dress or shoes to wear.

Oh, you guys are WAY more dressed up than I'll be! I think I'll be wearing capri pants and just a regular top. Last year, though, I never got out of the sound check... I wore my grubby shorts and conference shirt to the banquet. After telling everyone else to dress nicely!
Cool, I suspect that I will be a gibbering mess on Saturday - I worked out I'll have been travelling around 30hrs by the time I arrive in Orlando on Friday night. By Sunday I should be able to speak coherently again!!

Honestly, some people do get dressed up quite a bit. The teen girls definitely do. Some moms do. All in all, it's pretty casual. Wear something you are comfortable dancing in. And shoes you can take off so you can dance barefoot!
I am doing the capri thing too...dresses are to hard to pack...then you have to iron them
I hope to wear NOTHING Khaki (and that means all my capri pants!) In Orlando....School Uniform, and I don't want to wear it on vacation....

At the banquet, we'll have 3 sets of characters, one right at 9, one at 9:30, and one at 10:00. The characters are Mickey/Minnie, Donald/Daisy, Pluto/Goofy. I don't remember which princes and princesses I actually was able to book. I can look it up when I get home if you want to email me privately (I'll be home Sunday).

There are still tickets for the Banquet, but only until July 1. That's when I give the final order. After that, Julia will keep a list of people who have extra tickets (at the registration area). She'll try and hook up the extra ticket sellers with the extra ticket buyers... Yes, there will be a DJ playing OLDIES (anyone care to guess the decade) after 9:00.

Just as a FYI...the fruit on the buffet at the Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom is soaked in honey!!! Or at least that is what the chef told us a year ago when we ate there. They brought Brooke a bowl of her own, fresh, without honey...it was HUGE!
