The B-D® Home Sharps Container is a leak-proof, puncture resistant container designed to hold used insulin sryinges. It can also hold used lancets. The container is made out of thick plastic that is very hard to penetrate. The top has an opening that accommodates syringes and lancets, but nothing larger. Accidentally tipping the container over is unlikely to spill any syringes or lancets. A locking cap seals the container when full. According to the package, the container holds 70 to 100 syringes.
