  • Diabetes Care caters to an audience of primary-care providers, clinical researchers and diabetes educators by covering clinical research and its applications.   • Diabetes Spectrum, a quarterly publication, bridges the gap bewteen highly technical findings and practical hands-on information. Intended for diabetes nurse educators, dieticians, behavioral scientists and other health-care professionals, it deals with issues from both a research and clinical practice perspective. The publication is rare in this respect. It not only translates current findings, but also covers methods of promoting behavioral change.   • Clinical Diabetes is for health care professionals on the go. It offers a quick read of topical issues in diabetes treatment and care. The information is concise, yet thorough. • COUNTDOWN, a quarterly publication of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, focusses on the work of the JDRF, which is primarily fundraising for research into a cure for juvenile diabetes. Each issue contains articles relating to the work of the JDRF. There is very little advertising.
  
  
• Diabetes Health (formerly Diabetes Interview) is a monthly publication that aims to help people with diabetes lead healthy and fulfilling lives by providing them with the most accurate and timely information about diabetes. Twelve issues mailed to US addresses are US$19.95.
  
  
• Diabetes Self-Management, published six times a year, contains useful articles about living life to its fullest, as well as current research, such as islet cell transplantation.
  
  
• Diabetic Medicine, a Journal of the Diabetes UK. This journal is an information exchange on all aspects of diabetes mellitus and aims to interest everyone helping diabetic patients whether through fundamental research or better health care. The journal will provide a multi-disciplinary forum combining original articles, reviews, comments, news, and correspondence by which it is hoped to increase knowledge about the aetiology and pathogenesis of diabetes and its complications and to promote new ideas about management and education. The target audience is Endocrinologists, Pathologists, Diabetologists, Pharmacologists and Family Practitioners. Annual print subscriptions for non-EASD members is $318.
  
  
• Pediatric Diabetes is a quarterly journal devoted to disseminate new knowledge relating to the epidemiology, etiology, pathogenesis, management, complications and prevention of diabetes in childhood and adolescence. An annual print and online subscription is $107.
  
  
• Voice of the Diabetic, published quarterly by The Diabetics Division of the National Federation of the Blind. It is read by those interested in all aspects of blindness and diabetes. It is available free to anyone interested, though donations are gladly accepted. The magazine costs US$20 per year per subscriber to produce, so that is the minimum recommended donation.
