Upcoming Activities and Events

• Kids ‘n’ Us 2012: Families Facing Diabetes Conference
  The 24th annual pediatric diabetes conference for parents and caregivers of children with type 1 diabetes will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2012, at the Chateau Louis Conference Center in Edmonton. This one day event features speakers and sessions specific to children with diabetes. The Hon. Fred Horne, Minister of Health, will be kicking off the day’s events with information on the upcoming Alberta Insulin Pump Program as promised in the 2012 election campaign. Other topics will include Current Research Highlights, Community Supports, Care of Students with Diabetes, and more. There is a full day of 'teens only' programming and medically-supervised childcare available to children aged 3-12. Earlybird registration is available at only $25/person until September 20th and includes a barbecue buffet lunch and all refreshments. See www.kidsnus.ca for details.
