BIOCONTROL SUBMITS STUDY PROTOCOL

Pittsburgh, PA - December 10, 1996 - Biocontrol Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:BICO) announced today that it recently submitted a protocol to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the upcoming in-home study requested by the FDA as part of the Company's ongoing 510(k) submission process for its Diasensor 1000^TM noninvasive glucose sensor for diabetics.

BICO hopes to hear soon from the FDA that the study can proceed. The Company is ready to begin shortly after this approval has been obtained.

Biocontrol Technology, Inc. has its corporate offices in Pittsburgh, PA and is involved in the development and manufacture of biomedical devices and environmental products.
