Job Description

Sansum Medical Research Institute, a non profit organization in Santa Barbara, CA (est. 1944), dedicated to research in diabetes and other diseases, seeks a qualified individual to lead a comprehensive fundraising program in the areas of donor development, foundation and government grants, planned giving, corporate contributions, individual donations, special events and donor relations.

The successful candidate will have significant experience in securing major gifts and grants and will have a strong interest in medical research and in furthering the mission of the Institute. The Director of Development reports to the Director/Chief Scientific Officer of the Institute and works directly with the Board of Trustees in development activities. Relocation to Santa Barbara is not a requirement.

Competitive salary & benefits package include medical insurance and a tax deferred (403b) retirement plan.
