Lilly Confirms Continuing Shortage of Glucagon Kits

On April 25, 2003, Eli Lilly customer service confirmed that they are experiencing a continued shortage of their Glucagon Emergency Kit due to manufacturing problems. They hope to have the problem resolved by June 15, 2003.

Patients needing a kit should have their pharmacist phone 1-800-545-5979 to get the product shipped. If you are unable to get a Lilly glucagon kit, you can get the similar Novo Nordisk product, marketed as GlucaGen and distributed in the US by Bedford Laboratories (Bedford, OH, 1-800-562-4797).
