Type 2 Diabetes in Youth
- My 10-year-old gained 73 pounds in two years. Her insulin level was high, but her blood sugar normal. Other than meeting with a nutritionist, what should I do to help her? (29 Jul 2008)
- My daughter has dark patches on her neck and underarms. Her random blood sugar was about 130 mg/dl [7.2 mmol/L]. If diagnosed with diabetes, could diet alone control it? (9 Apr 2008)
