  1. What type of insulin will my daughter be using with her new insulin pump? (30 Nov 95)

  2. I have a friend who's daughter has Type 1 Diabetes. She was just recently diagnosed at age 14, and I happened across some information about anti-immune drugs being used to possibly halt the destruction of the beta cells. Is this an experimental thing and, if so, where can I find out more about it? (30 Nov 95)

  3. My son is 14 years old. He is a recently diagnosed diabetic. We are getting conflicting advice if he should get a flu shot. Please give your advice and explanation. (30 Nov 95)

  4. My daughter (age 11) was diagnosed with diabetes on Oct. 4 of this year [about two months ago. Ed.]. The latest thing is that her hair is coming out. Is this a complication of her diabetes, or something else? (29 Nov 95)

  5. Our daughter was just diagnosed with diabetes less than three weeks ago. We have been really struggling with giving her shots. I am wondering if you have any suggestions for us? (29 Nov 95)

  6. I was diagnosed at age 20, overweight. I tend to believe that I'm a misdiagnosed Type 2, or a Type 1.5. Do you find that many Type 2's or Type 1.5's are misdiagnosed because of their age when they're diagnosed? (27 Nov 95)

  7. When we know we are going to eat dinner early (3 PM instead of 5 PM) should we give our son his insulin doseage (NPH and REG) before we are going to eat or at his regular time? (23 Nov 95)

  9. How do I make sure my Primary Care Physician knows what my endocrinologist is recommending for me or my kid? (20 Nov 95)

  10. I heard of a real case where the parents of a diabetic son did not give him his medicine. I do not believe the parents are guilty. Can you please tell me more information? (20 Nov 95)
