Question: Are insulin pumps efficacious with Type 2 diabetics? If so, any recommendations as between MiniMed or Disetronic pumps for Type 2s? Thanks for the info. Answer: Yes, use of an insulin pump is appropriate, if the Type 2 patient needs insulin therapy, and is highly motivated. My staff and I have no preference between the two brands.
