Question:

From Netcom:

My son, just yesterday, was diagnosed with insulin dependent diabetes. He is 10 years old and had suffered from ADHD from the time he was five. Is there a connection or could it possibly be that the ADHD was an incorrect diagnosis and he really has been suffering from a diabetic condition all these years?

Answer:

It's difficult to visualize diabetes being missed for 5 years; he probably sometime in the past had blood or urine testing. If so, get the reports, and you'd be able to see whether or not he had diabetes previously (if the sugar were clearly high) or probably not (if the sugar levels were normal).
