Question:

From Ljubljana, Slovenia, Europe:

When will be Humalog available in a pre-filled insulin syringe? Will it be like Humaject? How much insulin will the syringe contain?

Answer:

I don't know when Humalog [lispro insulin] will be available in prefilled pens. Why don't you or your physician contact your Eli Lilly representative in your neighborhood directly, and ask the rep?

[Editor's comment: Different insulin products are available in different parts of the world. It almost seems that the insulin manufacturers release products haphazardly, but really they have different obstacles in different countries (for example, different bureaucratic paperwork to complete to convince the national authorities that their product is safe), and they also have to make guesses as to where any particular product will be financially profitable to bring to market. The end result is that it's almost impossible to keep up with what products are available in which part of the world. WWQ]
