Question: From Ohio, USA:
Our 4 year old son has had Type 1 diabetes for 1 1/2 years. He occasionally has some minor infections at the end of his penis. He is uncircumcised. He has a bath every day and we do the best we can to make sure it is clean. What is your opinion of having him circumcised to alleviate this problem?
Answer:
It is true that circumcision can alleviate your son's urogenital problems especially if phimosis is present. Ask your doctor for a urological consultation.
