Question: Can fluctuations in insulin levels cause mood swings? Answer: The variations in blood sugar due to changes in insulin levels can cause or enhance mood changes. When sugars are not in balance, moods can vary widely. People in my practice have had temper outbursts in a low or act drunk in a high.
