Question:

From Web TV:

Can the new impotence drug Viagra also help Type 1 diabetics who are impotent as a result of diabetes? Any help or referral you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Answer:

Yes, according to my recent patient who had already tried it.

According to the official Viagra website:

A review of population subgroups demonstrated efficacy regardless of baseline severity, etiology, race and age. VIAGRA was effective in a broad range of ED patients, including those with a history of coronary artery disease, hypertension, other cardiac disease, peripheral vascular disease, diabetes mellitus, depression, coronary artery bypass graft (CABG), radical prostatectomy, trans-urethral resection of the prostate (TURP) and spinal cord injury, and in patients taking anti-depressants/anti-psychotics and anti-hypertensives/diuretics.
