From Toronto, Canada:
What is the difference between child diabetes and adult onset diabetes?
Adult diabetes is Type 2, which is different. These people make insulin, it's just that their bodies don't use it properly. Their treatment can involve medications which help their bodies to produce insulin, or use their insulin better.
This is a short and sweet answer to a question in which books are written about in order to answer.
